I had to go over to Niwot today and photograph one of the Rhythm on the Rails concert series. These small town events are prefect for trying to create Norman Rockwell inspired photography. Great afternoon light helps as well.

Church Talk
June 8, 2008I made this photo at the 87th annual Highlandlake Reunion and Community Gathering while a re-enactor spoke about the history of Denver and early settlers in the area. The beautiful, giant stained glass window caught my eye immediately and I like seeing the faces of the few remaining parishioners.
Summertime Picnic’s
June 7, 2008Neighborhood picnic’s are always fun events to attend. Especially on a warm June afternoon with a funky blue grass band performing and kids running barefoot through the grass flying homemade kites.
Jennifer & Shelby
June 7, 2008Jennifer & Shelby got married at Rocky Mountain Hog Roasters in Arvada on a hot summer day. She wore a simple, beautiful dress her mom made her and they recited their vows surrounded by 1000 paper origami cranes Jennifer hand made. Their guests enjoyed a picnic reception with a bbq feast, horse shoes and volleyball.
